- 480 grams canned young jack fruit water drained
- 165 ml canned coconut milk
- 155 grams sardines in tomato sauce
- 1 small onion cut in wedges
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 thum-sized ginger sliced into strips
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp fish sauce
- ¼ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 pcs red chili optional
Heat oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
Saute onion, garlic, and ginger.
Add jackfruit and saute for 2 minutes
Tip in sardines along with its tomato sauce and stir gently. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Add coconut milk, sugar, salt, fish sauce, pepper, and stir. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes or until jack fruit is tender.
When jack fruit is tender, taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
