Ingredients

  • 480 grams canned young jack fruit water drained
  • 165 ml canned coconut milk
  • 155 grams sardines in tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion cut in wedges
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 thum-sized ginger sliced into strips
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp fish sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 pcs red chili optional

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a medium pot over medium heat.
  • Saute onion, garlic, and ginger.
  • Add jackfruit and saute for 2 minutes
  • Tip in sardines along with its tomato sauce and stir gently. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add coconut milk, sugar, salt, fish sauce, pepper, and stir. Let simmer for 4-5 minutes or until jack fruit is tender.
  • When jack fruit is tender, taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • Turn off heat and serve. Bon Appetit!
